API, Blotcode and Dandelion for commercial projects

Both Blotcode and Dandelion are available for licensing. License gives a right to generate own codes within independent code range.

Another alternative is to use our API. Usage of API is free for non-commercial applications. 2D Sense API is available on request.

2D Sense reads Scanbuy's EzCodes

Do you know that 2D Sense can read and process Scanbuy's EZCodes (or former Visual codes)? Find examples here http://www.scanlife.com/examples.html and scan them!

As you know, CTIA The International Association for the Wireless Telecommunications Industry has reached the conclusion that US carriers will support the proprietary EZ Code and open Datamatrix Code symbologies with indirect access.... Ability to handle both Datamatrix and EZCodes makes 2D Sense very unique application on a market.

Port of 2D Sense on BlackBerry is near to end and is planned for Xmass 2008.

Stay tuned!

Shapes

We have new 2D code symbology with absolutely different method of encoding data: we use shape and orientation of elementary figures. Code is very robust, fast and looks interesting :) As usual, reader will be integrated into 2D Sense application for iPhone first. Stay tuned!

Blotcode update

Blotcode is here: http://www.blot-code.com/
Reader is built in 2D Sense application available on iPhone App Store. You can generate random code for testing purposes here http://www.imatrix.lt/images/rolls.aspx

2D Sense for iPhone FW 2.0 (UPDATE)

Well, while Apple is still reviewing 2D Sense application, I can deliver latest version of it to you for installation via iTunes using Ad Hoc method. It is simple and 100% legal process.

Just install Ad Hoc Helper application from Utilities section and run it. It will create e-mail with UDID (unique number of your iPhone). Please add short description on how you will use it send to info@2dsense.com.

This method is for next days only.

More about new version here: www.2dsense.com/2dsp/default.aspx
and here: www.2dsense.com/page.aspx?id=matrix&sid=0

Well, Apple approved application few hours ago! iTunesConnect Contract is in pending condition still but at least all technical steps are in past... (2008-07-25 00:25)

Blotcode. Another one 2D code format

Being still unsatisfied by aesthetics of the 2D codes, I created next code format with provisional name: Blotcode. You can use this link to generate random code:

Blotcode has error correction and can keep up to four byte long data string that is enough for majority of applications. I have implemented new way of bit presentation in that code: each bit can be visualized by at least two different shapes ;) White element can be either white circle with black border or just nothing; black element can be either small or large black circle. This makes code more attractive and distinctive.
Once again, I do not try to replace standard codes like QR Code or Datamatrix... I try to find a beautiful form only;) I try to create a code that looks attactive for us, humans.

iPhone SDK

Great news is here - iMatrix is ported into SDK version beta 3!!!

New iMatrix will be a little bit different from current toolchain based version because SDK has different set of frameworks and classes.

Simulator based application cannot handle camera attached to my Mac Mini, but it does all the rest quite well and, that is very important, according to stricts rules Apple set. No more private frameworks, no more Address book hacks; just clean and legal stuff! Next days I will publish photos of new iMatrix application... return here frequently please.

There are sad news as well. It looks like import/export of notes and Safari's bookmarks should come out... The same with Calendar...
BUT you will be surprized as well! Will say just this: iTunes, YouTube and Google Maps!

Now the story :) At first, I had to purchase new Mac Mini because OS X Leopard is vital for SDK. After some time and with the help of my collegues, I found what I looked for! After updating the system and installing SDK/Xcode I became "happy" owner of development environment for creating cool and amazing native iPhone applications! Well... then I had several weeks of hard coding and getting familiar with Xcode... It is in past now! After all, I can say that Apple did realy cool product. It is not ready and quite fresh but it works and has HUGE potential. I personally will use it for sure.

(To be continued)

ShotCode

Some time ago I have integrated ShotCode into iMatrix application. It is very nice fact! It proves flexibility of iMatrix design and wide possibilities on integration custom, proprietary, solutions widely available on a market.
ShotCode is quite different from other 2D codes; it is circular. It looks nice and it's processing is really fast. I am sure it is not the last project together with ShotCode team and soon you will find other interesting joint projects!
